It might be fair to say that I am a big fan of 'stuff'. With it being Christmas I dropped some heavy hints that I'd like a few things in my stocking related to running. To make sure Santa didn't screw it up I bought some of them myself and called them Christmas presents. Specifically...
1/ Wahoo TICKR RUN - heart rate monitor. My old one was annoyingly incompatible with my new iphone and the TICKR promised some useful features like cadence measurements - which is apparently a good thing.
2/ Some Vibrams Five Fingers toe running shoes. I've been looking into these for a while and decided to get serious and get a pair. The guy at the shop had almost sold out of the newer Bikila Evo's and didn't have my size but had one pair of the older Bikila LS in my size and was happy to knock 50 dollars off. So that was useful.
Of course none of this stuff actually makes you go faster....or does it...? (No it doesn't.)
